This was my second trip to serve at Beautiful Feet Ministries. The first time opened my eyes to the reality of the hardships that people right down the road from us are facing each day. It was a reminder to me that the Gospel and hope is needed right here, in our own cities, in our own streets. I heard stories of brokenness yet redemption, of how the Lord is walking with them through the trials, and I loved seeing the hope and love being poured out each day through the staff and volunteers to those who would visit the church each day.

One of my favorite parts of each trip was to go out together into the streets of the city and just meet people where they are, in their realities. To pray with them, speak truth to their hearts, and point them to the Savior Who sees them where they are and loves them and restores.

The truth though that was a constant reminder to me during this trip was that we are all broken and in desperate need of a Savior. The Lord sees us all the same, and He meets us in our realities, no matter what that may be, whether on the streets or in the comforts of our home where our brokenness may not always seem as obvious. It’s a beautiful thing, the body of Christ…people from all different backgrounds and walks of life who eventually came to a point of realizing their need for a Savior and allowed Christ to reach out and rescue them.

I loved being able to be a part of this team the Lord put together to use our different gifts and to go out and be a part of what the Lord is doing in Fort Worth. He has a part for each of us to play in His story, to be His vessels and to point each other to His grace and the restoration only He can give.
