This was my second trip on the Beautiful Feet mission trip. I was one of the vocalists on the worship team. We had a successful trip and had many "firsts" for almost everyone that went!

David Hughes gave his first message, and I personally felt the Holy Spirit move so strongly within me that I voiced my first open prayer in a larger group! Three people on the team spoke to the congregation without a hesitation and all three had been either very anxious or had social anxiety. They were led by God and they overcame it.

We had several people that never prayed out loud with anybody and most of them prayed with several at the church. We reached a young man who wouldn’t even glance at us or acknowledge us who looked angry at the world and God. By the time we left he was singing with us and praying with us and got a new Beautiful Feet t-shirt! I think he almost snuck home in our van with us (LOL).

One lady missed the homeless bus back to the street, and we had to personally drive her back because we all took her in and prayed with her that she would get her two children back. She changed her life and reached out to the church and we are in the process of helping her get a job!!

One man had brain cancer, and he was so overwhelmed with our team, our singing, and praying and our words spoken that he cried and personally hugged all twenty-five of us and thanked us. I saw two people from last year who were completely strung out on drugs. These two people never even looked up and last year I left feeling defeated because we never reached him! Or so I thought. This year- guess what?? There these two are in church praising God and completely changed, sober, and alcohol-free for they changed their lives after last time we visited. Praise God!

We always go with the intent of planning on serving the homeless with food, clothes, worship, Scripture, and God's presence, and we always leave more humbled and blessed then when we came. You can definitely feel God's presence and Him working through each of us as we present our vessels to Him, and we offer to Him our beautiful feet to do His work.

Not many are willing to go for fear of what to expect, what they can offer, or they have no gifts to give. God says to fear not for He is with you, even to the ends of the world. All we have to do is present ourselves and have no fear or worry for He definitely shows up.
